Sales Joke of the Day (February 19) The Couch Potato

Lloyd, a salesman, was married to his wife Bernice for over 10 years.  They have a daughter named Joy who is 5 years old. Due to the economy, Bernice had to work weekends to help the family get by.  Bernice would constantly nag her salesman husband because he just sat around the house all weekend watching television, checking out the ball games and drinking beer.

"Sunday is the only day of the week you could actually spend a little quality time with your daughter, Lloyd, and instead she just watches a couch potato in action," Bernice complained week after week.

So Bernice was astonished to come home one Sunday at dinnertime and hear her little Joy chirp happily, "Mommy, guess what?  Daddy took me to the zoo today, and we saw lots of animals!"

"No kidding?" Bernice asked.

"And guess what Mommy?" continued Joy enthusiastically, "One of them paid ten to one!"

Moral of the story.   Get your life on track.  If you find yourself just sitting around the house with your kids all weekend, just watching TV, remember, as sales professionals you can do better than that!   Take a lesson from Lloyd and choose activities that families can do together.  Lloyd's ability to work in some math lessons into the festivities are something that his child Joy, will never forget.  And neither should you.
