What's your best psycho or crazy salesman story?

Before anyone accuses me of being sexist  I state salesman because we know all women are normal and nice Do you ever hear of a female dictator besides Oprah? The defense rests.

Having been around actors, stand up comedians and salespeople I've noticed there is always some wild and crazy person in those said group.

My favorite crazy sales guy was this guy who used to dress up in orange suits to meet with clients. He would never get any orders  and he looked like a giant M & M walking to meetings. We try to reason with him that he needed to get a normal color suit but he would not have any of it.  Nice guy though.

Another psycho sales guy was one that would try and sell fellow salesguys watches, tickets, boats, etc you name he had it for sale but never really do any selling of the products we were offering.

BTW, if you have no psycho salesman stories chances are you are the psycho. lol.

I once knew a vacuum cleaner salesman.  One of his favorite techniques was to have the prospects show him their current vacuum cleaner.  He would try it out, then tell them how bad it was and that they shouldn't even have the piece of junk in their house.  Then he would go to the front door and throw it out in the yard.  If he made the sale he would pick it up and throw it away.  No sale - old vacuum stayed in the yard.

I know (present tense) a guy who has "Sales Shark" as his title on his business card. He wears all Greg Norman shirts, a shark belt buckle and a watch with a shark faceplate. He starts his sales pitch with, "I appreciate you giving me the time to talk to you, but I want you to know I'm a shark and I will get your business." When objections come up, he states that he is not satisfied with the answer, because sharks always get their meal.

His sales persona has started to creep over into his personal life... I will say this for the guy, he closes sales pretty frequently.

The Shark guy reminds me of the robot salesman I knew who would talk like he was programmed"Does not compute! You Must Buy Bob or I will detonate in one minute.

If I cannot find the contact I want through the gate keeper, I just dial other extensions and do my introduction as if I actually have the right person. They usually say "Oh you need to talk to Joe Schmo" and then I probe tyat person for more details before I call Joe.

By far and away when this reached my inbox a few months back, it was the craziest salesguy I had ever seen.
