Who's the most famous person you have sold to or tried to sell to?

One time I tried to get Keri Russell from the Micky Mouse Club and Blossom (okay I don't remember her show but i think it was either Blossom or Saved by the Bell) to attend a comedy show on the lower east side.

She completely ignored me. Well Kharma you know what they say. Look where she is now she's not in any show for the next 50 years.

Re: Who's the most famous person you have sold to or tried to sell to?

In the early 90's I had an opportunity to sell to Seargent Shriver.  It was one of his daughters weddings (not Maria) and the idea of putting disposable cameras on every table was just beginning to take off.  I was working for a large wholesale photographic supplier and they had waited until the day before a Saturday wedding to see if they could find the cameras.

They finally got me on the phone and wanted to know if there was any way to get the cameras to them sent on Friday afternoon for a Saturday morning (fortunately, UPS had just begun Red Label service) delivery. I was able to scramble and find 30 cameras and beat the 4:00 pm cut-off for shipping.

Though I never dealt directly with Seargent or Eunice ( I think it was an aunt I spoke with) I received a hand written letter from Seargent Shriver two weeks later thanking me for dropping everything to find the cameras they needed.

Re: Who's the most famous person you have sold to or tried to sell to?

About a year ago I had Rupert Murdoch from News Corp on my list to call for a previous client, but I was never able to speak with him.  It turned out that News Corp already had an existing relationship with my client and they complained to their dedicated rep that I had called so I was asked not to call again.

Probably the most famous company I have sold to was L'Oreal cosmetics, though the contact was their VP Finance and Treasurer and not a famous name you would recognize.

I had a couple of the Strauss descendents invest in a project I was drilling in TN. Although I never technically met or talked to any of them.

I did work for the White House during president Bush's campaign.  Btw, that was a collections nightmare.

I did business with Curt Schilling's video game company Green Moster Games. Got a brief introduction, just enough time to shake hands and give him a quick rundown of what we were doing. My personal favorite was a much less famous person but for me a much greater thrill meeting Joe Gittleman of The Mighty Mighty Bossones while he was meeting with a company in Boston I did business with. I didn't do business directly with him, but got to meet him in their offices.

I don't know Cagefighter.  "by far"?  Depends who you ask i guess.  Neither Keri Russell or Gary Pucket is relevant any longer, but i would wager that if you ask anyone over 50, they would know Gary Pucket, but no Keri Russell.  Just saying.
