Add Contacts to Jigsaw from Your Smartphone!

For many of us, smartphones are as much a part of our day as our morning cup of coffee. Well here’s one more reason to never let yours leave your hand.
 
Some of you may be familiar with ScanBizCards, an app that allows you to take a picture of a business card from your iPhone or Android, then interprets the text and saves it to your phone. We’re excited to share that they have just released a new feature on their premium app that will allow you to add business cards to Jigsaw right from your smartphone! Better yet, they have offered to give the Jigsaw community an upgrade to the full app for 3 months, absolutely free! You’ll never have to pull out your credit card, and at the end of the 3 months, you’ll be automatically converted to the lite version. If you loved the full app, you can also purchase it at that point for $7.

So how do you get this awesome app?

1. First, go to http://www.scanbizcards.com/data.com from from your iPhone or Android phone. Note that this URL won't work on your desktop, so be sure to use your mobile phone to get there.
2. Next, click the first box to download the Lite version of the app.
3. Finally, go back to the link and click the arrow button at the bottom of the page to get your free upgrade to the full app, which has the export to Data.com feature.

Once you have the app, adding business cards is just as simple. Just click on the app’s camera option and take a picture of a business card, and ScanBizCards will scan it. Then click Forward/Export, choose Export to Jigsaw, and enter your Jigsaw credentials to upload the contact and earn 5 points. The iPhone version of the app also allows you to export multple scanned contacts all at once.

One last tip: although ScanBizCards is used primarily to scan business cards, you may also find it useful to use the third button in the app to import a contact from clipboard text, such as an email signature. Then of course you can export to Jigsaw!
