I joined Jigsaw back in 2008 and didn’t really understand. If I give you 1 business card you give me 1 back… no hidden strings, no costs? The entire concept just seemed to be too good to be true. I thought “Yeah Right” but figured I’ve got nothing to lose and decided to give it a whirl. That whirl changed the way we do our prospecting and list building. After using the site for a while I changed rank and became a Rainmaker. At that time I had absolutely no idea what new doors that had just opened!!
Becoming a Rainmaker was easy. All I did was add current info on execs and update information that was out dated. You achieve Rainmaker status by earning 500 rated actions. So what does that mean? A “rated action” is when you add or update a company or contact in Jigsaw and another member purchases that record within 45 days. If that member does not report a problem within 45 days it becomes a Positive rated action. My best tip to becoming a Rainmaker fast is to upload contacts that would have a high-value to other members so that the records would likely be purchased within the 45 day rating window.
So what benefit is becoming a Rainmaker to me personally? In the best way I can put it – prizes, trips, contests, and more! I know what you’re thinking… millions will enter, few will win right? Wrong!
I have been invited to both Annual Jigsaw Rainmaker Events with airfare, hotel, and food all paid for by Jigsaw! These events are fantastic. They are a chance to meet with the Jigsaw staff, get product sneak peaks and provide feedback. We also play games, win prizes, and most importantly, network with fellow rainmakers!
But it’s not your typical boring conference. The after party is provided by Jigsaw too! Last year in Vegas they rented the entire Diablo’s Cantina for dinner and drinks along with a live band! I feel I do my best networking in a casual environment and Jigsaw did an awesome job of taking care of that!
Be sure to come to the next Rainmaker Town Hall to hear about this and other Rainmaker news. See you there!
