Upgrade to Salesforce.com

I've had a Jigsaw account for some months now. My company is finally ready to invest in Salesforce.com accounts for the Marketing team and I'd like to know if there is any way or any value in upgrading this Jigsaw account to Salesforce. Or should I just make a new Salesforce.com account and then use those settings to connect to this Jigsaw account?

You are not able to upgrade a jigsaw account into a Saleforce account. Your second idea is correct of getting a new Salesforce account then upgrading your Jigsaw account to be able to link the two. But they are two seperate systems so you cant turn one into the other.

Baguba... Hold on If you want to upgrade from a free account to a paid subscription you CAN do so. Jigsaw had MANY options to connect for salesforce including jigsaw clean, jigsaw for salesforce, and data.com. I'll escalate but you should call jigsaw and talk to an account rep who can explain all the options for Salesforce and Jigsaw You CAN connect to your existing salesforce and jigsaw!!

The way I read it I interperated "Salesforce.com accounts for the markeitng team" to mean that their comapny was already using SFDC and wanted to get something like Jigsaw Team set-up within their salesforce for the Marketing team

Both of us are correct. You cannot upgrade a Jigsaw account and turn it into a Salesforce account, however you can link the two systems together
