challenge of an e-mail address

I "bought" an e-mail address and sent a message.  It was returned as undeliverable.  I tried another possible e-mail address for the contact and it went through.  When I changed the e-mail address to the one that was successful, I was notified that my change was challenged.  What is my recourse to not receiving a negative report on jigsaw for bad information?

Re: challenge of an e-mail address

US- I would send a copy of the returned email with my appeal to their appeal.  I don't know if this is totally correct, but it will show that the original email didn't work.

I am not sure how you were able to change the email address on a contact. If it was done properly then you graveyarded the contact with the bad email and then created a new contact. End solution as salesman829 stated was to appeal the update and make a good description of the situation in the comments box

Re: challenge of an e-mail address

Baguba hit it head on - contacts are tied to the email. I would GY the contact with the bad email. Then, add a new contact with the new email address. Did you ensure that the email was changed back to the bad one in the contact history or was another major field updated such as title or name?
